Edit: The contest is over! Many thanks to all of you who participated. The questions have been cloned to the main judge. We will be posting prizewinners and analyses to all of the problems shortly. Check here, as well as our website periodically! Feel free to submit to them for practice while we work on publishing results and analyses. Note that J3 and S1 are the same question, as are J4 and S2. Thus, submissions to J3/J4 are not moved over and junior competitors will have to resubmit them to S1/S2 on the main judge.

Problems: J1, J2, J3/S1, J4/S2, S3, S4

Thank you all who joined us for the Woburn Challenge 2015-16 on-site finals this afternoon! After an unbelievably tight race, Richmond Green Secondary School managed to edge out the valiant competition from Don Mills Collegiate Institute (by a mere 1 point within the last 6 minutes of the contest!) to ultimately secure 1st place in the senior division. Meanwhile, Thornhill Secondary School clinched their own champion spot in the junior division. Though this was arguably our toughest contest of the year, we still believe that there was something there for everyone.

The contest problems have been cloned to the main judge: J1, J2, J3/S1, J4/S2, J5/S3, S4, S5.
Problems, solutions, and test data will be posted shortly to this page.

  • Bill Zheng, Josh Jung, and Henry Gao of Richmond Green Secondary School ($250)
  • Timothy Li, Patrick Au, and Kevin Wang of Don Mills Collegiate Institute ($200)

  • Jason Kuo and Robert Cummings of A. Y. Jackson Secondary School ($75)

Thanks to all of you who took part in round 3, new and returning competitors alike! This round proved to be a bit rougher than usual, both on your end and ours. To start, there were no perfect scorers in either division. Although the first three problems of both divisions had many wonderful full and partial solutions, the last problems seemed to have perplexed everybody. Indeed, getting 100% on either of them them required a fair bit of tricky preprocessing. On the other hand, we also did run into some issues with the problem statements and test data. The issues have all been addressed in comments to the corresponding problems on the judge. Although we strongly believe that these issues had a negligible effect on the overall results, we nonetheless promise to be more careful in the future.

Click here for full results to the contest. Problems, solutions, and test data are now available here.

The senior division prizewinners for this round are:
  • Timothy Li of Don Mills Collegiate Institute ($200)
  • Jeffrey Xiao of University of Toronto Schools ($100)
  • Jason Yuen of Pierre Elliott Trudeau High School ($50)
  • Bill Zheng of Richmond Green Secondary School ($50)
  • Weiwei Zhong of Glenforest Secondary School ($50)
The junior division prizewinners for this round are:
  • Jonathan Chang of Don Mills Collegiate Institute ($50)
  • Allan Xu of Woburn Collegiate Institute ($25)
  • Christopher DeGuzman of Glenforest Secondary School ($25)
Congratulations to all of you! These prizes will be distributed as Visa gift cards, and we will be contacting your teachers shortly about sending them out. If you haven't won a prize, keep on practicing! We have many more prize opportunities for you throughout the year.
